Hi Readers, This will be more of a short introduction to the fundamentals of the minimalist lifestyle and minimalist living, if you want to read more about this blog in particular then check out the “About” page. Basically a minimalist lifestyle is one that is free of complications, clutter, confusion and distraction. Its where you have taken your life and streamlined it to make it the most effecient it can possibly be. It is also more of a process than a destination, minimalism is something that you will need to continually work on as many other factors in life are contantly going to try and complicate things for you. Why ? because the rest of the world has not stumbled onto this way of thinking yet. The vast majority still believe that if something is more complex and complicated then it must be better, rather we as minimalists prefer to look for elegant simplicity as the deciding factor of quality. So take the plunge and i am sure you will find it liberating! Keep it Simple, Sonny

This is a book written by the highly respected Leo Babauta of Zen Habits. Whilst nearly all of his output is concerned with simple living tips and information this book is his definiative work on living a minimalist life. This was one of the first books i purchased on the topic and really opened my eyes to the many benefits of simplifying everything. Chapter titles such as “Rethinking necessities”, “Clearing clutter” “Minimalist home, workspace and office” and “Contentedness” gives you an insight into some of whats covered in this book. Overall at the moment this stands as one of the definitive books on minimalism and is highly reccomended to anyone who wants to start living a minimalist lifestyle..
